ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — The Orlando Magic will play a shortened two-game preseason schedule with two games against the Miami Heat.
The NBA announced Friday that the Magic will open the preseason at Miami December 18th and then host the Heat December 21st.
The league also added the Magic to its regular season-opening Christmas Day schedule. Orlando plays at Oklahoma City in primetime nationally-televised matchup on ESPN. The NBA was originally playing three games on Christmas, but added a pair of night games.
NBA players were allowed in team facilities to workout with trainers Thursday for the first time since a tentative agreement was struck to end the prolonged lockout.
But players are not yet permitted to speak with their head coaches or other team officials, per lockout rules.
