McKay Ready To Take On Yankees As Rays Look To Even Series

Brendan McKay was outstanding in his first big league start holding Texas Rangers scoreless on just one hit spanning six innnigs last Saturday night. The competition is a little tougher for the young lefty as he prepares to battle the New York Yankees.

Masahiro Tanaka (5-5,3.74 ERA) will take the mound versus the Rays. In three previous starts against Tampa Bay this season, Tanaka has 2-0 record with a sparkling 0.42 ERA (1ER/22IP). He’s held the Rays batters to a measly .142 average (10 for 76) while striking out 23 batters and walking one.
