Rays’ Maddon Reprimanded By MLB For Cap

Tampa Bay Rays manager Joe Maddon received a letter from MLB bigwigs telling him he can’t wear a ski cap to the mound, according to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times.

In response, Maddon planned to wear an “Elmer Fudd” cap to the mound, but remain wearing the ski cap in the dugout. Seriously MLB? Temperatures in Chicago are in the 30’s. What’s the problem with a ski cap?

The Rays will go against the White Sox again today at 2:10 pm ET.
