NBA Finals: Warriors Pull Ahead; Take 3-2 Series Lead
I discuss what went down in Game 5 of the NBA Finals with twitter celebrity @RaysFanGio. Despite a super human effort from Cleveland star LeBron James, the Cavaliers didn’t have enough offense down the stretch to contend with Golden State’s sharp shooting extraordinaire Steph Curry. Not only did Curry erupt for 17 points in the fourth quarter, but he nailed several long shots from well beyond the three point line.
Much maligned Cavs’ head coach David Blatt made the curious decision to leave talented big man Timofey Mozgov on the bench for most of the game. After scoring a playoff career high 28 points in Game 4, Mozgov logged only nine minutes of playing time in Game 5. Gio and I discuss the baffling decision by Blatt to leave one of Cleveland’s most consistent role players on the sidelines despite not having any foul trouble or injuries to contend with.
Gio and I also discuss the keys to Game 6 which will be played at Quicken Loans Arena on Tuesday. Can LeBron carry his undermanned squad to victory, or will Golden State’s depth be too much for the Cavs to handle? You won’t want to miss the fun loving Gio and his take on the 2015 NBA Finals!
