NBA Finals: Golden State Warriors Win Game 1 108-100
I recap Game 1 of the 2015 NBA Finals with my good buddy and die hard Cleveland Cavaliers’ supporter @RaysFanGio. The Cavs wasted a supreme performance from their superstar LeBron James who poured in an NBA Finals career high 44 points while also recording eight rebounds and six assists. We discuss how James was able to dominate multiple Golden State defenders and what went wrong for Cleveland’s offense down the stretch.
Splash Brothers Steph Curry and Klay Thompson were held in check for the most part throughout the game. While the dynamic duo scored 47 combined points, Thompson shot only 5 of 14 from the field. Gio and I break down how Golden State was able to make up the first half deficit despite Thompson’s inconsistent shooting.
Cleveland’s role players were missing in action for most of the second half. Shooting guard J.R. Smith was noticeably off his game as he shot just 3 of 13 from the field and was held scoreless in the second half. Find out what needs to happen for Smith to regain his hot shooting touch for Game 2.
The injury to Kyrie Irving’s foot late in the contest could perhaps be even more devastating to the Cavs than the actual loss itself. Gio and I discuss how Irving’s recent rash of injuries may impact the rest of the series. You won’t want to miss this NBA Finals Game 1 recap of Golden State’s thrilling overtime victory!
