I caught up with my buddy @RaysFanGio as his beloved Cleveland Cavaliers completed a four game sweep of the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference Finals. Cleveland’s 2015 playoff record now stands at a robust 12-2. Being that Cavs’ fans like Gio are no stranger to playoff disappointment, I asked Gio if he was surprised at how easy the Cavs have made it look in the postseason.

By virtue of this latest playoff triumph, LeBron James will now appear in his fifth consecutive NBA Finals series. Including LeBron’s NBA Finals appearance in 2007, he has now tied his childhood hero Michael Jordan by collecting six Eastern Conference championship banners. I asked Gio if LeBron can now be considered in the same class as MJ as the greatest basketball player of all-time.

In addition to LeBron’s exploits, Cleveland has also gotten outstanding contributions from their role players. Gio and I break down the success of ex-Knicks J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert and how they have been able to help the Cavs. We also discuss the impact that Matthew Dellavedova and Tristan Thompson have both had on Cleveland’s exciting road to the NBA Finals.

We also look ahead to the potential championship match-up between the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors currently hold a 3-1 series lead over the Houston Rockets and have an opportunity to close out the series tonight at home. How will Steph Curry’s injury impact the rest of this series and beyond? You won’t want to miss this legendary podcast with my main man Gio!
