Tuck’s 2017 Mock Draft With Free Agency In The Mix
The NFL draft is 6 weeks away. We just wrapped up the NFL combine and it feels like the right time to crank out my first mock draft of the season.
A few thoughts if you’ll allow me before you scan over the mock draft to see who I have your team taking and then looking for other things to complain about…
First, free agency is a thought, but only a prediction in mind when I did this. The next mock will be after free agency and likely more accurate (although not much because who ever is).
Second, I think the 49ers pick is fascinating because they don’t have any obvious glaring hole…they have a lot of holes. I think Mike Williams is going to suffer not just by his own combine, but by the lack of production a similar player in LaQuan Treadwell had a year ago and slip to the late first. The Steelers a sneaky QB-needy team with no back-up under contract and Roethlisberger always an injury concern. The Jags are in position to land an impact defender and should do that. The Bucs can help their offense potentially in a number of ways, and probably should. The Dolphins absolutely should do something to benefit their defense, and should have a few good choices at their pick.
