Panthers Beat Penguins, 3-2

SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — Stephen Weiss scored with 3:30 left in the third period and the Florida Panthers beat Pittsburgh 3-2 on Saturday night, capturing their first win against the Penguins in their last six games.

Brian Campbell and Tomas Fleischmann also scored for Florida, while Jose Theodore had 39 saves

Chris Kunitz and Jordan Staal had goals for the Penguins and Brent Johnson stopped 28 shots.

Florida won just its third home game of the season.

Florida took the 3-2 lead with 3:30 left in the game. During a scrum in front of the Penguins net, Weiss was able to poke in the puck through Johnson’s legs.
