Buccaneers’ general manager Jason Licht appeared on NFL Network’s Good Morning Football Tuesday. When Licht was asked about the future of wide receiver Mike Evans, Licht responded via Tampa Bay Times’ Rick Stroud, “I’m really looking forward to Mike continuing his great career here in Tampa and extending his streak 1000 yard seasons here with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,”
Evans and the Buccaneers tried to cone to terms on a new deal this past offseason. Unfortunately that never came to fruition. There’s also been speculation that the Bucs might try and trade Evans before the trade deadline. Licht seems to have at least put that speculation to rest.
