Despite an ugly loss to the New Orleans Saints Sunday the Buccaneers still control their own fate to win the NFC South and a fourth straight playoff spot and a third consecutive division crown. Tampa Bay need to beat division rival Carolina in next week’s regular-season finale meanwhile the Saints (8-8) close with a division game at home against Atlanta.

According to simulations of the PFN Playoff Predictor tell us that the Buccaneers have right around a 93% chance of winning the NFC South but virtually no chance of being in a Wild Card spot if they miss out on the division. The Buccaneers are in a position where neither the Atlanta Falcons nor New Orleans Saints can surpass them in any of the NFL playoff tiebreakers if they get to nine wins.

The road contest next week against Carolina will be either on Saturday or Sunday we will let you know as soon as the NFL releases the schedule.
