Sports Betting Is Crossing The Delaware As Of Tuesday

It took nine years but as of Tuesday afternoon at 1:30, three casinos at racetracks in Delaware will open sports betting parlors. In 2009, Delaware elected officials passed legislation that would allow the race track casinos to operate a sports book which would have greatly expanded Delaware’s sports betting operation.

Legalized sports betting is coming to New Jersey very soon and more than likely Delaware very quickly. The Supreme Court of the United States has struck down the 1992 Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act that limited betting on professional sports and college sports to just four states.
